When Betty Ann Brush was born she was given 1 out of 1,000 chances of living. She was born with cancer by her left eye. She had radiation treatments for
the cancer. By the time she was 30 years old she had over 30 operations for different things.

Betty Ann grew up in the Milwaukee area. Throughout her life, Betty Ann has been a creative person, she always liked to draw pictures.

She started painting in 1995 with acrylic paints. At that time she lived in Baker City, Oregon surrounded by mountains. She started painting on anything she
could find. She painted a lot of Christmas ornaments and sold them at local events and Stores.l Then in 1996 she started painting in watercolor and oils. She
took classes from 5 very good artists but one was famous, Terri Axness of Haines, Oregon. At the time Betty Ann's favorite medium was Oils.  She entered a
lot of her painting at the local State Fair. Betty Ann won over 30 blue ribbons and 2 Grand Champion's. She had her paintings displayed at Cross Roads in
Baker City and at other retail stores. Then Betty got breast cancer and she stopped painting for 5 years.

paints now only in Watercolor and Acrylics, and her artwork takes on many different styles and subject matters. Most of which she finds appealing to the
eye. She loves what she does. She has some of her originals and has prints for sale. Betty showed her paintings at the McMillan Memorial Library the last
two years in a row in July. She keeps her prices low so they will sell. She joined Ruesch Gallery in August of 2009. She does not have her art there now.
